HTF TRADING

HTF intraday structures are my primary target because they place the trade inside a stronger context. I want the intraday entry to arise from a stock that is already showing higher-timeframe strength, not from random short-term movement. My focus is on stocks with no meaningful overhead resistance, clear relative outperformance, and the potential to become multi-day runners. That means I am looking for names that already stand out in the market for their strength, persistence, and clean structure. I will prioritize stocks supported by a clear catalyst, sustained momentum, and low spread, because those factors increase the probability that the move is real, that participation is broad enough to continue, and that execution can occur with less friction.

Within that universe, I will use only two HTF intraday entry models: DSTL breakouts and horizontal breakouts. This restriction is deliberate. I do not want a wide menu of setups. I want a narrow operating system that reduces noise, limits impulse, and allows repetition inside a structure I understand well. DSTL entries occur when price forms a clean, multi-touch descending trendline within an existing uptrend and then breaks that line with alignment across intraday timeframes. This entry captures continuation after orderly compression. Horizontal breakout entries occur when the price compresses beneath a clearly defined resistance level and then breaks through it, with the price expanding and accepting that level. This entry captures pressure building under a ceiling and then resolving upward.

All entries will be executed using buy-stop limit orders placed above the trigger level. That choice reflects the kind of trader I want to be. I want the market to prove itself before I participate. I do not want discretionary clicking, premature anticipation, or emotional chasing. Risk will be predefined before entry, and execution will follow a structure, not a mood. The purpose of this thesis is selectivity, consistency, and alignment between stock quality, pattern quality, and method of execution. That is the framework within which I expect my edge to express itself.
